April is Autism Awareness Month

Caradoc Animal Clinic is supporting this cause by collecting donations on behalf of five year old Seth, son of Charlotte (one of our veterinary technicians) who has autism and is on the waiting list for a service dog from Autism Dog Services (ADS). ADS is a program that raises and trains service dogs for children with autism and related disorders.

We are asking clients to please purchase an autism dog services paw print for 1 dollar (they can donate as much as they like minimum is 1$-they sign their name and we put it up on the wall in our clinic). ADS operates solely on donations and the average cost to raise and train a service dog is $18 000.

We will have baked goods and a raffle for a basket full of goodies during the week of April 15-20, 2013. Please stop by the clinic and help us raise awareness as well as help autistic children receive the opportunity to have a life companion.
